GOLDEN HORIZON
The exposition covers the historical period from the 2nd millennium B.C. until the 8th century A.D.
During this period several nations and tribes, namely Catacomb Culture, Cimmerians, Scythians, Sarmatians, Goths, Huns, Avars, Polovcy, Khazars, Pechenegs settled in the northern area of the Black Sea, adapted themselves to the often difficult conditions. The representation of nomadism as a complex world in itself and the tense relationship with the settled systems is a constant companion to the exhibition.

The sensational objects which the different cultures produced shall be used to show
the general features of nomadism as well as the various forms it took in the single cases.
